I've edited the article to reflect this new information. The last Civ game I owned, Civ III, had a stand alone program to edit the maps, but I haven't found anything similar for Civ V. However, I can't seem to find a stand alone version of a map editor of any sort. Any suggestions are awesome and I'll try to respond to all comments. Or look at the resources and plan which cities to keep and which ones to raze. Simply put, I'd love to use the rendered terrain to create hex-based maps for use in other areas, for instance, with my D&D group. Hey guys it's Zyche thanks for watching our terrible gaming skills put to the test. Support for very high-resolution imagery (sub 1 cm resolution) Collaborative mapping, including points, drawings, locations of interest.
CIV 5 MAPS OFFLINE
This time, instead of the WorldBuilder, select. This scenario in Civilization 5 is pretty straightforward: On Deity you have to conquer EVERYONE The Rise of the Mongols Map is not dynamic, so you can use this to plan your conquest. Civil use capabilities of ATAK-CIV include: Online and offline mapping (most standard formats), with a blazing fast rendering engine. Exit WorldBuilder and start up the Civilization V SDK. UPDATE: I reached out to 2K Games before going to print, and they've now clarified that "you can import Civ 4 maps into Civ 5 and units and cities within will carry over" however, "you won’t magically be able to play an old mod" like Fall from Heaven or Planetfall, which the article previously suggested. Theres one final thing you need to do before you can dive into your creation. Instead of charging us $15 for a measly five new maps (two of which are from a previous installment), why not give us the tools to import those older maps ourselves? Why not allow us to build our own maps and share them freely? I wish more developers would support their fan base with ways that enable players to take ownership of the game in unique and interesting ways. But doing so demonstrates dedication to the community of Civilization players and modders.

They didn't have to give users the ability to import old maps and convert them to Civ 5 automatically - units, cities, resources, and all.

I'm really excited to see Firaxis include such a feature.
